A High School in place of a Luxury Hotel
The Stadium High School was originally designed to be a luxury hotel, but the construction was stopped when the depression struck in 1893. Later, a fire burned the building to the ground, leaving nothing but a masonry shell. This shell was later used to construct the high school which still stands.
